Donate
We rely on the generous support of people like you to offset the considerable expense of touring and to keep tuition as low as possible for our members. The costs to take a national level drum and bugle corps down the road is skyrocketing. The price of diesel fuel and food has increased significantly during the past decade, and insurance and transportation expenses have never been higher.
We need your financial support to continue providing our members with the positive experience that is the Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps. To make your donation process as easy as possible, we have a few different ways for you to give.
The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Consult your tax advisor.

Matching Gifts
Many companies have matching gift programs where they will match their employees' donations to qualified non-profit organization. Check with your companies Human Resources department to see whether they will match your contributions to the Blue Stars. We are happy to help you with the processing of the paperwork.
Investment Securities
Donation of investment securities offers a number of benefits, both for the Blue Stars, and for your personal income taxes. Not only does your contribution of investment securities provide further support for the Blue Stars organization, but you may also claim a charitable contribution, and may be able to avoid paying taxes on capital gains.
When you sell investment securities, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds, you owe taxes on the increase in value of the securities. If you held those securities for more than one year, you may owe capital gains taxes on the increase in value. When you donate securities that you have held for more than one year to a qualified charitable organization, like the Blue Stars, you can avoid paying capital gains taxes on the appreciation in the value of the securities, and you can deduct the full fair value of the securities as a charitable contribution (subject to certain limitations). You should consult your income tax advisor for full details.
Specific Campaigns and Projects
In addition to the above ways to donate, you can also donate directly to various campaigns, projects, and scholarships
Annual Campaign
The best way to support the Blue Stars’ mission is by contributing to our annual fundraising campaign. Donations to the annual campaign provide the funds necessary to provide our members with a life-changing experience!
Sponsor A Meal
Feeding a World Class drum corps is a huge - and expensive - endeavor! We will feed approximately 80,000 individual meals during a season. You can be our hero and sponsor a meal, a day of meals, or more.
Scholarship Funds
We want the Blue Stars to be accessible to all people, that’s why we have several scholarship funds established for those that need help offsetting some of the costs of participation.
Memorial Donations
Honor a loved one with a donation to the Blue Stars in their honor.
Gifts In Kind
Do you own a business that makes a product we utilize on a regular basis? Provide a professional service for a living that may be of use to the Blue Stars? We would love to hear from you.
